BGA was born more than one decade ago, as an Official Patent and Trademark Agency, as a technical and legal consultancy, and as a strategic consultancy for the protection of research, development and innovation.

Since its beginning, BGA has shown a clear vocation towards an integral consultancy and management for the previously mentioned services, counting with the services of a team of professionals comprised by lawyers, engineers and economists, all of them specialized in industrial and intellectual property rights (copyrights).

Also, BGA, through its partners and associated, keeps close links with Specialized Research Centers (Centre de Patents de la Universitat de Barcelona, Fundació Bosch i Gimpera) and Universities (Universitat Internacional de Catalunya), as well as a number of Business Schools (IESE, ESADE, CEIM), participating in conferences and giving and cooperating in several postgraduate and business management programs.

Surely, the vast experience of BGA’s expert teams, without loosing the focus on traditional values, has founded a new official agent and consultancy philosophy regarding industrial and intellectual property issues, which we believe has differentiated very clearly and with a renewed spirit from the rest of agencies and offices who share similar activities.

Specifically, and within the scope of globalization and integration of the services related with industrial and intellectual property provided by BGA, we believe our professional activity can be individualized by the achievement of two main objectives:

I. Resource Optimization

Efficacy of the record portfolio and other issues related with the industrial and intellectual property. We intend to study the complete specific and individual characteristics of each client to go hand-by-hand with an adequate protection and defense of his interests regarding industrial property, adjusting our work according to his needs.

For this, we use several and different communication options which include the computerization of records, the unification of mail and billing, and many other possibilities that materialize in the serving of the needs learned from the personal contact with our clients.

II. Reduced management costs regarding industrial and intellectual property

Clearly, and as result of the information previously indicated, we contemplate the possibility to economize the rates corresponding to the control, watching and management of the different issues related to industrial and intellectual property.

In this sense, and once the control basis are established for each client, we study the elaboration of a reduced and adjusted rate schedule.

Finally, regardless of the operation and/or procedure cost to be followed, once the issue at hand is studied and budgeted, we supply the personalized and/or fractioned payment options depending on the client’s preferences.
